Why isn't the CPM lashing out at CCP for violating consumer rights? Why isn't the CPM lasting out at CCP for massive SP sinks in uprising? Where is the CPM's backbone? Why is the CPM sitting on it's hands, waiting for the new build to come out, when they already know there's major issues with it? Why didn't we get to appoint our own CPM, and instead are handed a group of socially awkward, spinless shut-ins?
Fine then as the designated forum warrior of the CPM.
1 CPM believes in fair trade, you still have or get the option to rehave those items without screwing everyone else over. Regardless of what happened you still have one golden box per purchase, Not magically having infinum number for the price of one as the terms only dictate you have one at any given time regardless of what happens. The terms does not allow for 2 for the price of 1. In order to get a new one all the old items have to be removed first before being re-issued. if you still feel that you have been undervalued you can easily take the issue to CCP and maybe they will explain everything for you. After all its a messaging error and you know how messages get lagged and delayed, hell GameSpot is still selling under the old terms and refuses to update it seems.
2. We're still analyzing the blog, we feel the suit progression is a bit broken but we're still discussing on how its all going to fall into place vs the old system as per other thread I started https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=72238&find=unread you get your first proto suit 600k points far earlier than current. As for the rest of the tree i just pulled all of chomosome's skills into a sheet and doing some 'comparisons.' However form the looks of it, after the initial hurdle of the pre-requistits most of the subsequent skills are easier to access.
3. Chances are that when posts like these pop up they're not for the best of the community at all. Involving the CPM directly has always produce the most negative results because you guys would try to box us into a corner or force us to say things that are simply hurtful to everyone on the entire spectrum. The better advice is to read, watch and listen and relay concerns.
4. We're busy with other topics I cannot discuss yet or probably never. All this stuff here you're all complaining about was last weeks' issues most of the predictions came true-ish.
5. Chances are you'd wind up with a CPM that would not be that helpful to anyone but themselves or think they need to tackle every single possible balance design issue when there are far more things that need discussion. I only been at this officially for a week and its already quite a bit of work right now especially with you guys complaining about stuff. |

The CPM, much like the CSM, have little to no power over CCP in most decision-making. Going by this flawed premise alone, I'd have to assume that all of your points are moot, because anything that you might have said would require for a PR/advisory group of people to actually have power that they don't legally have.
Correct, the only power I have is raising concerns and making CCP listen and give live feedback as we banter an issue back and forth as to why things need to get done a certain way.
Take a look at the most recent blog about delaying planetary conquest, CPM truely felt it would not only screw you guys over trying to rush skill points on day one and misspending points so you can go 'oh hey on the map nows' vs 'oh shoot i am so totally screwed and have to re-grind my skills because I specced into something that isn't awesome/me." CCP took it into consideration, asked questions why, explored if it was even physically possible without such a massive cost in time or money and after all was said and done where able to do it.
While the CPM would have loved to have gotten the weapons moved to the 6th as well it simply wasn't possible for various reasons I cannot disclose. |

You're just sitting on your hands. 4&5) if the predictions came true, and you got the shitstorm you were expecting, why weren't there adjustments made to avoid this? i'm sure you're working on a bunch of super top secret stuff (lol) but if you predict a huge backlash, maybe you should try altering your course before running over everyone's toes?
2. Stop putting words into my mouth, I am currently researching the changes and if you cannot understand that then I cannot find your complaints or concerns worth making valuable. The base suits for the most part are competitive against your current suits today, and the base suits are more than capable of kicking the crap out of the specialists of same meta. For example the gallente logi basic only has 2 low slow (0 highs, no sidearm) compared to medium frame having 3-4 slots on basic with a side arm. Additionally nobody is forcing you into those newer suits, they're much more end game content, its like HAV pilots mostly deciding they rather stick to using the regular HAVs instead of the muraders (and soon enforcers which overall looks like a shoddy class)

No, you can get the SAME protosuit for less SP. You only have to pay more SP if you want to get the Tech 2 protosuit. That's not a sink, that's just common sense. Is there a SP sink in a few core skills? Yes. Those should be looked at and hopefully adjusted, but otherwise- not a SP sink. Same suit? does the first tier proto assault have 545 shields and 2 equipment slots? Does the tech 2 protosuit have better stats than what we have now? pretty sure it doesn't based on what i've read. we're spending more SP for inferior equipment, these are the first signs of casualizing a game.
100% of assaults and medium frames have 1 equipment slot, this was done intentionally to help legitimize the existence of the logi-line up. |

Hasn't all the info on the new suits been released via video recordings? Are you telling me there's protosuits better than what we have now, because I didn't see that at all.
Unfortunately no, the new blog here http://dust514.com/news/blog/2013/05/uprising-skill-point-re-spec-details/ has the data dump which unfortunately doesn't have the slot layouts. The recordings by choice skipped the base suits If you read my link again I listed all the new proto base suits from the data dump I pulled out of it and the aside from missing slot layouts they're comparable to the other proto-suits. The only thing that truely gives the advanced suits thier bonuses if only the suit in question takes advantage of it. Its entirely possible to ignore the bonsues on the protosuits such as not having side arms when the suit has a side arm bonus. Or not using the laser rifles on amarrian suits which have bonuses for it. |

i'll give you end game content. but what about the x5 for core skills? meaning cpu and pg that's 3mil sp same it would take you to get into a end game drop suit for 5% to cpu and 5% pg is that also fair?
Working on it right now give me a moment and Ill post my educated opinion on it. |

This doesn't make logis more viable, it just makes it more annoying to play an assault. This can be avoided by switching suits at a supply depot and is very lazy balancing on CCP's part, just removes assault variety. Paying more SP for suits that can't do as much, boy do i love this game
Well maybe my suggestion of removing equipment slots on assaults would go though then :( |
